If you've ever shared your life with a French Bulldog, Pug or Bulldog, you'll know exactly what I mean when I say they have incredible personalities. They're loving, loyal, entertaining and quickly become part of the family.
But anyone who lives with a flat-faced breed also knows something else.
They often work harder just to breathe.
That reality became deeply personal for me through my own dog, Mowgli. Watching him pant after a short walk, take longer to recover on warmer days and simply work harder than many other dogs made me ask a question that would eventually change my life.
Is all water really equal?
Like many owners, I had always assumed water was simply water. But the more I researched hydration, dissolved oxygen and how the body functions, the more I realised there was a much bigger conversation taking place.
Hydration isn't simply about filling a bowl.
It's one of the foundations of life.
